Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of DeathDoula.org (the "Site"). The Site is operated by Blueprint Vision Ventures, Inc. ("BVV," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

1. Current purpose of the Site

DeathDoula.org is currently a public education and pre-launch interest website. It provides general information about end-of-life and death doula support and allows people, families, professionals, organizations, and community partners to request updates about the Site's development.

References to professional profiles, discovery tools, events, resources, inquiries, or other planned features describe the intended direction of DeathDoula.org. Those features may not yet be available and may change as the Site develops.

2. General information only

Content on the Site is provided for general educational and informational purposes. It is not medical, nursing, hospice, mental-health, legal, financial, funeral, spiritual, or emergency advice or care.

Always seek advice from an appropriately qualified professional regarding your circumstances. If you are experiencing an emergency, contact the appropriate local emergency service.

3. Independent professionals

End-of-life doulas and death doulas are non-clinical professionals. Any doula, organization, speaker, event host, or other professional who may later appear on DeathDoula.org will operate independently unless expressly stated otherwise.

BVV does not employ, supervise, direct, or control independent professionals merely because they participate in or appear on the Site. Each professional is responsible for their own training, qualifications, credentials, profile information, services, scope, fees, availability, communications, agreements, insurance, legal compliance, and client relationships.

Inclusion on the Site will not by itself constitute BVV's certification, licensure, endorsement, recommendation, guarantee, or verification of a professional. Users will remain responsible for evaluating whether a professional or service is appropriate for their needs.

4. Interest-list registration

You may voluntarily provide information through the Site to receive development, launch, event, resource, profile, or participation updates.

When using a form, you agree to provide information that is accurate and that you are authorized to provide. Do not submit medical records, protected health information, client information, confidential organizational information, or sensitive details about another person.

Joining an interest list does not:

• create a professional, clinical, care, referral, employment, membership, or service relationship;
• guarantee access to a future feature, profile, listing, event, partnership, or program;
• guarantee acceptance or eligibility for a professional profile; or
• require you to purchase a product or service.

You may unsubscribe from promotional email updates at any time using the unsubscribe link in the message or by contacting us.

5. Acceptable use

You may not use the Site to:

• violate any applicable law or another person's rights;
• submit false, misleading, fraudulent, unlawful, or unauthorized information;
• impersonate another person or organization;
• collect information about other users without authorization;
• transmit malware, harmful code, spam, or disruptive material;
• interfere with the Site's security, operation, or availability;
• attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site or related systems; or
• copy, scrape, reproduce, or exploit Site content except as permitted by law or with BVV's written authorization.

6. Intellectual property

The Site and its original text, design, graphics, branding, logos, structure, and other content are owned by BVV or used with permission and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

DeathDoula.org, The Confident Death Doula™, PTW Collective™, BVV Connect, Blueprint Vision Ventures, Inc., and related names, marks, and branding may not be used in a way that suggests affiliation, sponsorship, endorsement, or authorization without BVV's written permission.

These Terms do not transfer any ownership rights to you.

7. Third-party links

The Site may link to websites or services operated by third parties. BVV does not control and is not responsible for their content, availability, security, privacy practices, or terms. Accessing a third-party service is at your discretion and subject to that service's policies.

8. Site availability and changes

We may update, suspend, restrict, or discontinue any part of the Site. We do not guarantee that the Site or any planned feature will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Site and its content are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, suitability, reliability, availability, or results of using the Site or information obtained through it.

Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, BVV and its officers, directors, employees, and agents will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of, or inability to use, the Site.

BVV is not responsible for decisions, communications, services, events, agreements, acts, omissions, or outcomes involving independent professionals, organizations, or third-party services.

These limitations do not apply where liability cannot legally be limited or excluded.

11. Privacy

Our collection and use of personal information are described in the DeathDoula.org Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as DeathDoula.org develops or legal requirements change. The updated Terms will be posted with a revised effective date. Your continued use of the Site after an update means you accept the revised Terms to the extent permitted by law.
